Grebe’s VP Colton Grebe spent some time with Kristine Kierzek at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel to talk about Grebe’s history in Milwaukee and about what it’s like to be the fourth generation running the family business.

One of the things we’re most proud of at Grebe’s is the number of employees who have been with us for decades. Judy has been a part of the Grebe’s Bakery family for more than 45 years.

The president and owner of Milwaukee’s well-known Grebe’s Bakery, James “Jimmer” Grebe, has passed away. He died Wednesday, January 20th at the age of 58.

Since 1930, Grebe’s has grown to the point of having two retail outlets in Milwaukee, but more importantly, has become a household word and predominant bakery distributor throughout Illinois and Wisconsin.
